About Snoots.NET
Snoots.NET is Tim and Caroline's place on the Web. You won't find much original content here because it is mostly a place for us to exchange info with our family and friends. If you are looking for our company's site then please visit
All HTML, CSS, and PHP code on this site is hand coded by Tim Snoots using BBEdit or Bluefish on an Apple Titanium PowerBook G4, iMac G4, and iMac G5 running Mac OS X. My code complies with the HTML 4.01 "Strict" DTD, all formatting and layout are through CSS. The HTML and CSS on this site's pages can be W3C validated using the links at the bottom of each page. All scripting is server-side using LAMP web development technologies (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). This site has an absolute minimum of client-side scripting, and no ActiveX, Java, Flash, or pop-ups because I really hate pages that are loaded with that crap for no reason.
Efforts have been taken to make this web site accessible to all users including those with disabilities. This site meets a minimum of "Level-A" conformance to the W3C-WAI Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0. A site map is available for our web site. In addtion, several accesskey keyoard shortcuts are provided for quickly navigating our site. Depending on your browser and operating system, the following keys when pressed in combination with the [alt] key (Windows), or the [control] key (Mac) will take you to specific pages or page areas: 0 - Accessibility Info, S - Skip to Top of Content, 1 - Home, 3 - Site Map, 9 - Contact Us
Therefore, this site should load fast, look great, and have a stable, consistent appearance in nearly any recent, standards-compliant web browser on any platform. The appearance of this site has been tested with current versions of the Safari, Firefox, Opera, Lynx, Konqueror, and Internet Explorer web browsers.
